Naked Gun: Aiming at the Bull's Eye of Success
Many bands across the world have aimed at the same target; to be as good as the great Rock bands of the past! What Rock fan doesn't recall the incredible stories of the Scorpions or Def Leppard rising out of the unknown to become superstars?

Most young bands miss their target or lose their aim because they lack all the talents necessary. However, there is a young band taking root in a far away land with all the talent and potential to hit that target. This band is Naked Gun and they are about to take a shot at the “Bull's Eye of Success.”

Naked Gun is a Rock band that has a large quantity of ammunition and potential. They have the same type of lifting guitar riffs, soaring melodies and incredible vocals as Extreme, Van Halen and other great bands of Rock music. In addition, Naked Gun just might have that “silver bullet hit” in a cover song called “Mamma Mia.” Naked Gun is taking aim on the Rock Charts and radio in Europe, Japan and Russia - maybe even the U.S.A. Naked Gun is about to make some noise and they are locked and loaded!

A Perfectly Placed Weapon
Where would you hide a weapon like Naked Gun with all this potential? Normally, one might look for this style of music in the U.S.A., or Europe & maybe even Germany. Not this time. Naked Gun hails from Levice, Slovakia. Isn't that where Dracula is from you might say? No, that is Romania, Slovakia is the former Czechoslovakia. For all vampire fans ... Naked Gun does have a “Vlad” and this Vladimir isn't afraid of the band’s Silver Bullet - he will impale you with his guitar and vocals & so read on!

It's amidst the beautiful countryside of South Slovakia that you will find the waters of the Hron and Ipel rivers flowing into fertile farmland graced by mountains. It's no irony that here you also find Naked Gun, with their flowing vocals, rich melodies and soaring hooks - it's the perfect place for a weapon like Naked Gun to grow and flourish. That's precisely what they are doing. As they perform local shows and venues, their talents are being noticed - they are taking root and spreading. Naked Gun is a perfectly placed weapon.

Meet Naked Gun: Engineering Melodies
The bands' members are Tibor Katay who is an integral part of the band, on drums and vocals. Tibor also composes some of the bands original tunes. Vladimir Herz is a multi-faceted musician, able to play many types of guitar and background vocals as well as also write music. Laco Kovac is the bass player for the group and background vocalist. Martin Cenger acts as the bands manager and promoter. “&we've all been together since childhood,” says Martin, “& and we've been playing together over twelve years & so we're also good friends!”

The band works by day as Mechanical Engineers at a local power company. It's during the day they keep the electric and energy flowing to their hometown of Levice. However, by night, these engineers all take on an entirely different role. At night Naked Gun is pumping the energy and electric out of amplifiers to local fans and venues. The Naked Gun is full of engineers that are engineering powerful melodies.

Mamma Mia! The Silver Bullet
One of the best produced and “ready made” hits that the Naked Gun has loaded is likely an ABBA cover tune called “Mamma Mia.” This is not the typical ABBA cover song - it's encased in a whole new shell - Naked Gun style! This cut has strong potential to be the first single release for the band. The “Mamma Mia” track is an incredible display of this band's talent, and the only cover song that they do. They have sixteen other tracks in a demo entitled "I'll Be Waiting for a Better Time" which is slated for more work and production. Is it no irony that ABBA began with hits in Europe, only to glean the interest of the U.S.A.? Perhaps it is no irony then that Naked Gun has chosen this song to be the first release.

“Mamma Mia” isn't the only bullet in this magazine - Naked Gun has others ready as well. “Money Eater” is a blazing guitar laden hard rock wonder! This original tune also displays the musical skills of the band, great guitar solos, and awesome vocals. It's “Money Eater” that will remind you of a young “Van Halen.”

After the speed metal leaves you wanting more, Naked Gun proves it has a ballad or two to boot! “Angel” is reminiscent of Extreme or Bon Jovi sprinkled with a touch of Guns N' Roses. Naked Gun accomplishes this on this track as well.

Naked Gun is one band that is “locked and loaded.” They are the perfectly placed weapon of Rock; they can engineer their melodies and guitar work to perfection. Mamma Mia &they have talent and tons of Ammo.
