Honor By August
Award-winning Washington DC-based rock band Honor By August has shared the stage with artists including Bon Jovi, Hootie & the Blowfish, Hanson, Howie Day, Pat McGee Band, Emerson Hart (Tonic), Keith Kane (Vertical Horizon), Virginia Coalition, Ingram Hill, Aslyn, Michael Tolcher, State Radio and Stephen Kellogg & the Sixers.
Honor By August has played to crowds as large as 20,000 in venues including the Verizon Center (DC), Innsbrook Pavilion (VA), McDonough Arena (DC), the 9:30 Club (DC), the State Theater (VA) and Cain’s Ballroom (OK) and FedEx Field (DC).
Led by 23-year-old Michael Pearsall, Honor By August is a world-class band in the making, rooted in personal, powerful songs and dynamic live performances.

In its first two years HONOR BY AUGUST has:
- Won the grand prize in Billboard Magazine's World Song Contest for the pop category with "Only in Photographs" (a live recording from the band's first electric performance)
- Won the Bon Jovi- XM Radio "Have a Nice Gig" Contest, beating more than 150 area bands to open for a sold-out Bon Jovi show at Washington DC’s MCI Center
- Won the Hanson Opening Band Contest to open for Hanson and The Pat McGee Band before a sold-out house at the 9:30 Club
- Held the Number 1 spot at Aware Store with its debut CD, Drowning Out The Television, for the week of its release
- Been featured in XM Radio's R>A>D>A>R REPORT and on DecentXposure Volume 8
- Been featured as an Editor's Pick on Washington Post.com, which described the band's music as "impassioned"
- Been selected for two showcases - one acoustic, one electric - at the 8th Annual Millennium Music Conference
- Been the featured artist on Z104's Capital Scene with Jenni Chase
- Recorded their first full length record, Drowning Out The Television, with noted producer, Ted Comerford (Virginia Coalition, Red Wanting Blue, Zox, The Argument), and award-winning mixer/engineer, Jeff Juliano (John Mayer, Dave Matthews Band, Jason Mraz, Lifehouse)
